The Marketing Assistant has the responsibility of providing efficient and effective administrative support to the Marketing Managers and assisting the Marketing team with various projects and initiatives across West Edmonton Mall and Fantasyland Hotel.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating meetings, appointments, and schedules, taking required minutes for specified meetings, and responding to specific Marketing related inquiries and requests for the department.
  • Working on a variety of unique initiatives and projects including but not limited to signage, events, Retail, Parks and Attractions, for the Marketing department and completing other office and administrative duties as required.
  • Preparing, coordinating, and recording a variety of Marketing service correspondence and documentation while ensuring all timelines are met and adhered to in the department.
  • Triage inquiries and forwarding e-mails and phone calls and performing research.
  • Performing various administrative duties including invoicing, photocopying, faxing, scanning, and maintaining confidential records and files.
  • Other responsibilities as required.
Desired Qualifications:
  • One (1)-three (3) years experience working in an office environment in an administrative support role.
  • Completion of a related post-secondary diploma focusing on office administration, business administration, or marketing.
  • An extremely professional attitude and demeanor complemented by excellent client relations skills and the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent typing and computer skills including a strong working knowledge of MS Office programs Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook as well the ability to adapt to other software programs as required.
Terms of Employment:
  • This is a full-time position that is required on-site in the WEM offices Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5pm, with the occasional flexible availability to be present at various events and activities as required.
  • This position qualifies for our 4-day workweek program.
  • This is a salaried position that will depend on experience and qualifications.
  • Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
