The Logistics Supervisor is a working leadership role that combines supervisory responsibilities with hands-on operational work. This position supports the daily operations of the Internal Logistics team by guiding Logistics Representatives and Logistics Coordinators, while also completing the same tasks alongside them. The Supervisor ensures workflow efficiency, safety compliance, accurate documentation, and delivery quality during shifts, while serving as the leadership presence when the Assistant Manager is unavailable.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work directly alongside Logistics Representatives and Logistics Coordinators to complete daily operational tasks, including deliveries, setups, and equipment handling
- Supervise team members during shifts to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and to expected quality standards
- Monitor workflow on the floor, balancing hands-on participation with oversight and coordination
- Use and maintain task tracking systems to assign duties, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met
- Conduct monthly safety checks, complete safety documentation, and support the Assistant Manager in enforcing compliance standards
- Oversee inventory and supply needs during shifts, reporting replenishment requirements
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and real-time feedback to team members during operations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for interdepartmental requests during evenings, weekends, holidays, and other times when senior leadership is unavailable
- Manage and maintain training certificates for assigned staff and ensure operational readiness of equipment
- Address disputes or performance issues on shift with professionalism, escalating to the Assistant Manager or Events and Logistics Manager when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in logistics, operations, or facilities coordination
- Strong ability to manage and work alongside staff while coordinating multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Previous leadership experience is considered an asset
- Knowledge of safety standards, compliance practices, and logistics or warehouse equipment
- Skilled in using task tracking and scheduling systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with staff and internal partners
Terms of Employment:
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
- This is a full-time position that requires flexible availability including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; Monday through Sunday.
