The Logistics & Events Representative supports West Edmonton Mall operations through hands-on event execution, shipment handling, internal service requests, and general logistical coordination. This role is critical to delivering high service standards across a dynamic environment with rapidly shifting priorities. Full-time Representatives are expected to take ownership of tasks, contribute to process improvement, and maintain professionalism in a physically demanding, fast-paced setting.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Execute setup and takedown of mall events, internal activations, and special projects (e.g. stages, signage, tables, fencing, specialty fixtures).
  • Respond promptly to internal logistics requests from departments and tenants, including deliveries, furniture moves, and equipment transfers.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including forklifts, aerial lifts, and power jacks, in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Support dispatch and administrative tasks, including request tracking, radio dispatching, calendar updates, and issue documentation.
  • Uphold and model safety procedures and logistical standards; report and correct unsafe behavior or deviations from process.
  • Participate in onboarding, training, and mentoring new staff as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including back-of-house storage and equipment areas.
  • Complete daily duties with minimal supervision while contributing positively to team dynamics and accountability culture.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet departmental priorities.
Desired Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in logistics, facilities, event support, or a comparable operations environment is preferred.
  • Must be able to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights, and standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Comfortable representing West Edmonton Mall in a professional manner during customer interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and with intention.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on internal customer service and professionalism and a dedication to being part of a culture shift toward higher standards, accountability, and improved training.
  • Willing and able to work a rotating schedule, including nights, early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage as required.
  • Certification in Fall Protection and Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) is not required prior to hiring; successful candidates will be trained during onboarding.
Terms of Employment:
  • Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
  • This is a full-time position that requires flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays as well as occasional on call work Monday through Sunday.
  • This is a physically active role requiring constant mobility, working at heights and outdoors on occasion, coordination of tasks across departments, and adaptability to evolving operational needs.
