The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible with helping to drive business growth by securing new clients, strengthening existing relationships, and maximizing the use of our unique hotel and event spaces. This role also plays a key leadership role in mentoring a talented team while working alongside the Director of Sales & Catering to achieve strategic sales objectives. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales and bookings by developing new business, maintaining corporate client relationships, and increasing utilization of hotel and convention facilities.
  • Oversee, coach, and support the Sales & Catering Team to achieve targets, maintain service standards, and grow their skills; assist with recruitment and performance management as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Catering on strategy, forecasting, action plans, and process improvements to maximize revenue and efficiency.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, sales trips, and industry events, while coordinating sales calls and client meetings for the team.
  • Ensure accurate proposals, contracts, and event details are completed in line with hotel standards and communicated across departments for flawless execution.
  • Provide regular sales reports, market insights, and updates on group activity to senior leadership.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Completion of a post-secondary education in hospitality, sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of previous related hotel/hospitality sales experience.
  • The proven ability to make sales presentations and possess strong public speaking skills and abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, computer and organizational skills complemented by team building and motivating activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with OPERA is a strong asset.
Terms of Employment:
  • This position may be eligible for participation in our 4-day work week program, subject to operational requirements.
  • This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, with flexibility in scheduling. Reliable transportation is required for both local and out-of-town travel and sales calls.
  • This is a salaried position, with compensation based on experience and qualifications.
  • Must be able to pass a basic security clearance and provide a clean drivers abstract every year.
