The Lead Audio Visual Technician is responsible for the set up and operation of advanced, small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and resolving problems quickly as they arise.
  • Ensuring equipment is secure from theft and/or damage when in use.
  • Collaborating and working closely with the Manager of Event Technology.
  • Providing excellent service and striving to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
  • Leading, mentoring and coaching other Technicians on ENCORE's Delivering World Class Service philosophy.
  • Meeting with guests on site to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly.
  • Monitoring events and checks in on customers throughout the day.
  • Understanding the technical aspects of the job and demonstrating advanced operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues.
  • Anticipating equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Using the equipment sheets to determine the equipment scheduled for set up and for strike.
Desired Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required, associate degree is preferred.
  • 2 years of customer service or hospitality experience.
  • 2-3+ years of audio-visual experience is required in hotel industry.
Terms of Employment:
  • This is a part-time position that requires flexible availability Monday through Sunday including days, evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
